Meet our BFFs :: Wild Squirrel’s Keeley + Erika

What is the name of your company?

Wild Squirrel Nut Butter

Where are you located?

In the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon

What do you guys do in 2 sentences or less. Ok…go!

We make the most delicious tasting all-natural peanut and almond butter with a healthy, creative twist. Our awesome flavors include Honey Pretzel, Cinnamon Raisin, Chocolate Coconut, Chocolate Sunflower Seed and Vanilla Espresso.

Raddest thing about what you guys do?

We are revolutionizing the way people think of nut butters. People have been limited to crunchy and creamy nut butters for too long, so we are committed to changing this. We incorporate tasty, wholesome ingredients into our nut butters so you will never have to be limited to just plain. The best part is that our nut butters are still healthy and aren’t filled with excess sugars, sodium or oils, so you can feel good about what you are putting into your body.

Favorite or newest product you guys have out right now?

Erika loves the Vanilla Espresso Almond Butter and Keeley is really into our Chocolate Sunflower Seed Almond Butter. Although we both love peanut butter, it’s nice to take a break and mix it up with another nut butter like almond!

Favorite food in the office right now?

Well we work out of our home, so it’s not a long commute to the kitchen! Both Keeley and I LOVE to cook and proudly declare ourselves as big foodies. With fall and cooler weather upon us, we have been embracing lots of wholesome and warm foods. We’ve been making lots of soup in our slow cooker. The best one we’ve made, that we currently have in our fridge, is a pumpkin red lentil soup with roasted carrots…it is SO tasty!

What is most likely to be “water cooler” talk in the office?

Since it’s just the two of us, we usually talk about the next restaurant we want to try or talk about the drama-filled show Nashville that we are currently obsessed with.

If your company were to be a celebrity who would it be? (Mash-ups are allowed.)

Michelle Obama/Lady Gaga. Classy and sophisticated with a WILD side. ;-)

Anything else we should know?

We also have a blog…on tumblr: http://wildsquirrelnutbutter.tumblr.com/. We are also starting to do a podcast where we will talk about our lives both personally and professionally, and we’re conducting interviews with people who are doing awesome things. We will post it on our blog and it’s also available on iTunes. Go to the podcast portion on Itunes and type in Wild Squirrel Podcast and you’ll find them there! For anymore info about our company and what we are up to go to wildsquirrelnutbutter.com.

So there we have it folks. Two totally awesome chicks doing their thing and, as we like to say, killing it in the nut butter world! Don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Stay tuned to meet more of our BFFs soon.
