Banana’s natural sweetness and smooth consistency provide for a perfect first food. Using fruit in your meal planning is a great way to mix and match recipes and provide nutrients in purees for your baby. Fruit are natural, and improve our overall being when eaten on the regular. There is so much variety of fruits available to us that it’s hard not to find something to use. With our world developing towards healthier living, our food choices are evolving too. We are now given organic fruits to work with, helping parents to make a conscious effort to maintain a balanced diet for our little ones. Today, “healthy” no longer means dull, or flavorless. Here is a recipe that combines fruit, cinnamon and our Mighty Oats Cereal, it’s a great treat for babies for around 6 months+.

Banana Puree:

Ingredients

1/4 teaspoon organic cinnamon **

1 organic banana**

1/4 cup Little Duck Organics Mighty Oats Cereal Package

Directions

1. Prepare Mighty Oats Cereal as directed

2. Place the banana in a bowl and mash with a fork or blend it in a food processor until desired consistency

3. Microwave the banana for 7 seconds, or until warm

4. Stir in cereal and cinnamon

5. Test temperature prior to feeding

6. Watch your little one smile

Age: For Babies 6 months +

Store: Up to one day in the fridge or put in the freezer, it can last for approximately one month
